  • Education is a basic Human Right and the Diaspora World Cup global school program focuses its energy in some the poorest countries around the world. We build schools in some of the poorest countries around the worldthat historically had no adequate school structure. Any member of the World Diaspora has the power to end illiteracy around the world through the power of soccer.
  • High-profile sport figures, global leaders, business leaders, political figure, journalists, activists, philanthropists, actors, and entrepreneurs united by their commitment to the Diaspora World Cup mission to eradicate illiteracy around the world through the power of soccer. They serve as role models and spread the Diaspora World Cup vision and commitment of a world mobilized through soccer.

The 2015 edition of the Diaspora World Cup featured forty teams divided into four groups of ten. Each team played nine group-stage matches, with the top eight from each group advancing to the knockout stages. The diversity of the participating nations of the Diaspora in the Washington DC Metro, ranging from soccer giants like England and Jamaica to debutants like Panama and Lesotho, made for a fascinating mix of styles and stories.
The edition was more than just a soccer league. It was a celebration of the universal appeal of the soccer game in the Washington Metro area. From thrilling matches and unexpected upsets to the rise of new stars and the crowning of Jamaica as champions, the event encapsulated everything that makes soccer the beautiful game. As fans look back on the memories of the 2015 edition, they are reminded of the magic of the Diaspora World Cup. It is a competition that continues to inspire and bring people together.
