The Diaspora team of Senegal is making headlines again. Naturally, it's not anything positive. The latest is that they lost 11-0 to the team of Philippines from Baltimore and let me remind you that this was not a Basket Ball game, but a Soccer game. Since taking the reins of Senegal, head coach Habib Ba and general manager Mody Ndiaye have had at their disposal good players with individual skills and a lot of potential. Unfortunately, this has not been reflected with results. Each year, it seems, Senegal hits some kind of new low. Whether it's in the stands or on the synthetic turf field, the situation for the team has been on a rapid decline since the beginning of the 2013 Diaspora World Cup season with four straight loss. After this latest debacle, we must start to ask whether or not Senegal has become the worst soccer team of the Diaspora World Cup.
I for one believe people may be publicly supporting the Senegalese team, but there's absolutely no indication that there actually is one in private. As it is now, Senegal is only serving to drag its own Diaspora down and diminish the value of their players. Something has to be done. Senegal next game is against Sierra Leone next Saturday at the Heurich Stadium. Stay Tuned!!!!
