Nobody can deny the importance of a good start to any endeavor, and the Diaspora World Cup is no exception. Yet that has not prevented a host of sides digging deep for the Diaspora Team of France after a shaky beginning. What comes out in the headlines news are the two defeats suffered with England and Netherlands. Four big wins in between the games have gone unnoticed especially when they stunned Sierra Leone 3-1 at the Walker Stadium.

France still has an uphill battle with three remaining games for the group stage. Team Captain Suila Fon can’t wait to challenge Philippines, the only undefeated team of the 2013 Diaspora World Cup. Giving the performance of both teams so far, most people and critics believe Philippines has the edge. But, we’ve seen this movie before as soccer is an unpredictable game, and defenders especially must not lose concentration until the final whistle. Such an approach and a good performance by France upset England and brought them to the final last year and eventually defeated Scotland to win the trophy. Repeating history is no easy task. Stay Tuned.
